VIRGINIA STATEWIDE NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE, INC. ANNOUNCES SITE FOR THE 18TH ANNUAL 2017 VIRGINIA STATEWIDE NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE

The Virginia Statewide Neighborhood Conference, Inc. (VSNC) Planning Committee is proud to announce that the Short Pump, Virginia has been chosen as the site for the 18th annual Virginia Statewide Neighborhood Conference taking place at the Richmond Marriott Short Pump Hotel on September 22-23, 2017.

The theme of the conference is "Building Coalitions to Create Healthy, Vibrant Communities”. Attendees from neighborhoods and municipalities across our Commonwealth will come together to learn best practices for addressing neighborhood issues of the times, attend informative workshops, network with one another, and share experiences and information toward building stronger communities.

In addition, the Youth Café will be offered to participating youth for them to learn how to become contributing members of their community, facilitate constructive changes and create opportunities for themselves and friends.

Finally, the 2017 conference will continue to solicit nominations from neighborhoods, individuals and youth from across Virginia to recognize the commitment, time, and energy of those who tirelessly volunteer to make their neighborhoods the places they are proud to call home at the annual VSNC Awards Luncheon. These awards have been presented since 2000 as a collective “thank you” to those nominated neighborhoods and individuals, and are the only statewide awards given to neighborhood organizations and individuals for their neighborhood self-help initiatives.

We hope you will plan to join us in Short Pump, Virginia as we continue to work together making all neighborhoods across Virginia - neighborhoods of choice!
